"Beloved hearts of light, you see that the return to discipleship is necessary, for a people have forgotten their God. They have not understood the true coming of Jesus and therefore they do not understand why the saints have lived, why they have sacrificed, why they have left a record—because the emphasis is not on you, but upon Christ nailed to a cross.

"This will afford you nothing unless you yourself realize that all that was in this Son of God can be yours. And the imitation of the path of Jesus Christ is surely our calling and our teaching. It is the fundamental teachings of the Spirit. It is the teachings given to the apostles. It is the anointing of the apostles. It is the transfer of fire, heart to heart! It is a leaping and a speaking in tongues. It is the power of our God with us unto healing. And yes, it is poring over the ancient scriptures. John the Beloved himself took from the Vedas: 'In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with Brahman.' Blessed hearts, such fragments, such husks are left.

" . . . And this is why I say it is the greatest moment in all history for each and every one of you to make your statement and to establish that contact with God which all who have gone before you have made, and thereby become instruments of Light and spiritual power and healing and the holding of the balance of nations.

"The overwhelming proof is on the side of the path of discipleship. It has a consistency over tens and thousands of years. You will not find any difference, save perhaps in a slight manner of form or ritual, in the paths of the saints East or West. There is no difference in the light of the eye or the shining of the aura or the power of the chakras or the beginning ability of transmutation and alchemy that comes into your life when you begin to invoke the violet flame.

"The consistency of this path, side by side with the absolute inconsistency of the factions of Protestantism, of Catholicism, of Judaism, or of the Moslems who argue perpetually one with the other and remain separated and divided because they cannot agree on the letter! And they have left off from the true Spirit. And even in that spirit of ecumenism, beloved ones, you find that they have not come to the resolution of their doctrine nor have they given to their flocks the power of God to turn the tide of world conditions.

"One and all, understand the great joy as a child rejoices in his first step, the first word he can spell or read or identify on a sign, the first piece he can play on the piano, or a laurel wreath given at graduation. Understand that the path of achievement—striving, running in the race, winning the gold cup—is a path that mirrors the path of discipleship to all. It is the sense internally: 'I have worked, I have mastered
—God with me and by his grace. And because I know who I AM and God is with me, I can do these things.'

"It's like having it in your pocket. It is something you have done. When and if it should ever be the case that a master do for the disciple what the disciple can only do for himself, the disciple will be just like the child or any of you. The person for whom something is given without responsibility, without effort and work, without inner achievement resents the individual who gives to him that reward without effort.

"Thus, the false pastors who preach create in fact a servile relationship of sinners to a favorite son, and internally and subconsciously it is actually the hatred of Christ that is at work. It is a psychological maneuver of the fallen angels, preaching hellfire and brimstone and enormous fear and an angry God and the promise of everlasting hell and damnation to those who do not repent. These are the preachments of the Devil who has created an alternative religion to the true teaching of Jesus Christ.

"Realize this: that many pastors who are thus indoctrinated are not of an evil bent but have simply followed the party line they have been given and that has been carried on for generations. The proof is in the pudding. The proof is in the action. Where are the results? Where are the results?"

" . . . [others have had] the consciousness of being [or becoming] a perfect human being [and this, too,] is detrimental to the chela. You may live your life in a straitjacket if you pursue perfection at the human level and be so unpleasant and so impossible [to live with] as to find that no one would ever want to follow in your footsteps. And yet that [idolatrous] tendency lingers even when chelas are not aware that they have it.

"Let us say, beloved, that the mark of one who has this [bent] in his psychology to manifest human perfection is the mark of spiritual pride. It is also the mark of one who engages in excessive self-
condemnation, which by and by becomes the condemnation of others. And so you see, beloved, that expectation that one should be a human god is antithetical to the path of Maitreya. I ask you to look at this so that you may shed the snakeskin that some have brought of their inheritances from various nations around the world where this consciousness is so prevalent as to be ingrained, and we find that people do not even realize that this [tendency] has been instilled in them by the Nephilim gods themselves [as genetic tares sown among the genetic wheat].

"And so, beloved, imperfections are always with the saints. It is not that you mourn them but that you are reminded that the human has the propensity to err, that the human is an imperfect vessel for the perfection of the Christ and that the imperfections that linger on the path of sainthood are not so vastly important to the spiritual overseers of the planet as they may be to yourselves. Blessed ones, there is the perfecting of the heart and the soul and the mind that is often neglected by those who have vanity and spiritual pride and continually expect the human flesh-and-blood person to be that perfect model and role model of the chela.

"I do not say these things by way of exonerating any from indulgence in human consciousness that is dangerous to themselves and that does set a bad example, especially to children and new students. I do say, beloved, that you should strive diligently to root out those things that you suppose would not be pleasing to your Christ Self. But to measure oneself on the Path one should look to one's heart capacity to love one another, one's heart capacity to be compassionate and merciful, to be profoundly understanding of the burdens of another, to be able to give that love in the purest sense [that] is sucha strong holding of the immaculate concept that people are healed by the very gaze, by the very flow of light [passing from your Presence to that] one [for whom you keep the flame of Divine Love].

"Blessed hearts, many who come to this Community are perhaps 'diamonds in the rough' who have not had the perfect tutoring [of the soul] or the background in all of the proper manners and behavior. Some have had [a] fragmented development of the psyche in childhood and [they] have a difficult time in dealing with that which is in the subconscious that they do not understand at all. Some do not even know when they need counseling or when it is necessary to have therapy.

"Therefore those who have the loving heart and the wise heart must be alert to this [need] so that those who do require assistance do not give up [the Path] before they have had the opportunity to make a go of it through the understanding of wise counsellors who will show them how to unwind the various experiences of the past and [how to] unwind from the coil of being those momentums that have resulted from fragmented situations, especially at the emotional level, from early childhood on.

"Of course, beloved, there is no replacement for the violet flame in this area. And those who have such problems must beware of extreme self-indulgence and spiritual pride and the sense that says, 'I can go it alone. I can do this myself. I do not need anyone's help.' This is a most dangerous [state of mind], beloved, for our Father has created life so that all parts of life are interdependent. It is the very law of the harmony, of the chemistry, of a cosmos. No one individual manifestation of God in this level [of soul evolution] and octave could possibly contain all of the elements necessary for the full integration of that God [within the personality].

"Therefore Community is the solution. And each one in Community does provide truly a blessedness, truly a focus of sainthood, that all others may drink from that certain fountain and know [that] when they put their straw into that fountain a certain vibration, a certain flavor will come forth. And that very special vibration may be at any time the healing element that they require.

"Do you realize, beloved, that by your presence and your smile and your support, your service [and] your hard work, you have meant to one or [to] countless hundreds or thousands the inspiration, the presence, the tremendous support that that one did need and [that] the many did need at various times? Most of you do not even have the realization of what your life [can mean to others] and [that] how you live can [be] an inspiration to others."

" . . . And from those realms, while I was yet in physical embodiment as your Messenger, I did deliver to you the vibrations of eternity and of the Infinite One. I recall a particular dictation, beloved, where I spoke out of Ein Sof, the unknowable, inconceivable God. This blessing was accorded to me in my final incarnation. Yes, I could deliver to you Ein Sof—who became to me the knowable and conceivable God
—because I had been initiated by Jesus.

"I speak to you, then, and I urge you to seek the deep mysteries of God through your Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, through my overshadowing Presence and through the instrument of my Beloved. Yes, seek the deep mysteries of God and seek to receive knowledge directly, spoken in this octave through the office of the Messenger. And in order to be certain that you will never lose either the blessing or the anointing or the mysteries themselves, you must seal them in your heart. For these very mysteries will become an intensity of light and sacred fire that illumines your temple. And, once again, we see that the mysteries are locked in the symbols of the ten sefirot."

"I rebuke the unwillingness of the soul to advance on the Path but to prefer the familiar environment to the trek upward and the mountain fastnesses. You cannot expect that embracing a portion of the Path, however diligently, will blot out or cancel those other areas of infraction of the law. All things are considered separately. And there is no bargaining with God.

"Do not fool yourself any longer. I have come to encourage and to give you the courage of the Path that you very well know you must walk.

"Sacrifices are not a thing of the past. My own will not count for you, nor do they belong only to certain chelas. Take the example of the messengers and those who have gone before you and see how each point of surrender does engender another point of perfect peace. How I would that you would truly embrace, not only my flame and my crown and my kingdom but my message and the very heart thereof."

"If you dare to accept this truth of the science of the spoken Word, then I say you are of all souls most wise. For many who see the power of the Word retreat and deny, even as those who remember a past life retreat and deny. Thus, the fearful and unbelieving, even when shown God-Reality, will not seize it for fear of what demands this Reality may make upon their current status.

"Yes, there is a thinning on the way up the mountain. You will not find crowds at the summit. But you will find those who have found their way by the Law and who have survived.

"I speak this day to the survivors of planet earth from this altar of the Holy Grail, from the altar of the Royal Teton. And I speak to those who would be survivors and who will not be unless they accept the call and the calling of the sacred fire and of Sanat Kumara. Understand, beloved, that while the sands continue to descend in the hourglass and time and space appear real, there are some who could be survivors who will not be, for their cowardice would not allow them to receive the transfer of the sacred fire.

"Thus, the Law honors free will. And free will is the mark—the mark of the sons and daughters of God. The exercise of free will rightly is, then, the mark of that son, that daughter who has chosen the path of the initiates."

" . . . Let the human consciousness become a little disturbed, a little heated in the presence of the flaming ones. Let some have their reactions; they also have their karma and their accountability. It is time, then, that you took your stand for the light and ceased your concern over the opinions and the pining of family, relatives and friends who are pining for you to come home.

"Have they ever been concerned about your coming home before? Not until you came into the activity of the Ascended Masters. Now, you see, they long for the consciousness that used to be, that has gone into the flame. And when they see you, they say, 'What has happened to you? We don't know you.' Then they have to admit, 'You look wonderful!' " [laughter]

"I ask you to devise a chart for each and every member of our staff and any Keepers of the Flame who would use it. And I mean this, beloved. Those of you who have imagination as well as a sense of organization should think about this. This chart is to be something you can [use to] check off [tasks accomplished] in the hours of the day. You can have it on your wall in your office.

"And you and only you will know whether at the end of that day you can paste upon that chart a victory star—yes, beloved, a victory star: a gold star for having accomplished all those things that were on your list that you were capable of accomplishing, a victory star for not having let anyone deter you from that path and yet still having dealt with the needs of those who truly are deserving of your time and attention.

"Blessed hearts, take control of your day! For it is a cycle of the sun, it is a cycle of the earth, it is a cycle of your path of the ascension. This is how you make your ascension: I tell you, you score a victory each day! That means you must enter your day with a fierceness and a determination.

"Take the end of [today] to plan [for tomorrow], to organize what you will do: when you will arise, who you will see and who you cannot see. Set goals and achieve them no matter what! For to break the patterns of letting things get by you, letting people interrupt you is no small task, but it is [accomplished by] the surefootedness of the compassionate ones. These compassionate ones, beloved, manage to achieve their victory and also accomplish their daily assignments.

"A day’s victory can become the victory of a lifetime. Count the days in the year and then the years in the decades of a life span and see how many victories you must achieve to finally step on the dais at the Ascension Temple at Luxor and feel the caressing love, the white fire of ascension’s flame and hear [the welcome of] the seraphim who surround you and of all the adepts who themselves are candidates for the ascension.

"Beloved ones, you will feel better about yourself when you are in control of the hours of the day. Think of your victories as being moment by moment. Think of your failures as losing the moments and [think of your lost] moments as being added up into hours and days of nonachievement.

"Beloved ones, this is the point of suicide that I come to discuss this day: it is the hours that are lost because you have not filled them with the joy flame [of Christ]. And without the joy flame [of Christ], your bodies will not be healthy, you will not have the strength that you need."

The Spirit of Overcoming

" . . . If you cleave unto us, if you hold our hand, if you enter our consciousness, if you permit your consciousness to enter ours, if there is unity between us, then I do not think any power in heaven or earth can separate you from the love of God!

"But you must understand that every positive statement must be reinforced by the power of action within your world. You must understand that it is not enough for us to utter a statement for and on behalf of your victory. [You must] accept that statement and believe in it, act upon it and be tied to it and united to it.

"This, precious ones, is one of the reasons why down through the centuries and even as recently as twenty or forty years ago, various dictations came forth from our realm and octave promising victory unto mankind and giving them certain inalienable rights. These rights have indeed been given but they have not been claimed.

"I want you to know, precious ones, that we have made our promises and fulfilled every one of them, but there has been and will always be a dual tie to all promises. We may not make our promises without having certain conditions met by unascended mankind.

"You do not think, surely, that we are required to promise you that we will give you our support and assistance and then turn around and function at your level to receive that assistance, do you? You certainly do not expect that we should give you our energy and our love and then [be obliged to] move your hands to take it.

Your Responsibility Is to Master Yourself

"I tell you, you have a very definite responsibility. Mankind’s lack of awareness of this has been and still is to expect us to perform for them all the acts that were given to them to perform for themselves by volens, volens, volens—will, will, will!

"Will must be generated within you for strength, strength, strength, and power, power, power until you become the master of yourself rather than let yourself be mastered by outer conditions.

This Is the Hour of Decision

"I tell you, then, this is the hour of decision.

" . . . If you were able today to see the Pleiades in all their brilliance and glory, to see the great temples of the Brotherhood at Shamballa, to enter in to the vibratory action of God in the secret and sacred places of the earth where you have never been, I tell you, your hearts would beat with joy and pride in the creation. There would be . . . only the receptive, humble attitude that would say,

"O my God, let me live.

"O my God, let me give.

"O my God, let me strive.

"O my God, I AM alive."

Prepare for Your Solo Flight:
You Are Too Comfortable in Your Path


"Well, beloved, the day will come when you will have to fly solo—sans Messenger, sans conference, sans reinforcements. You, the lonely one, climbing Mount Everest, as it were, to meet your God. And will it not be the challenge of your entire existence?

"I tell you, it shall be. For upon that mountain, beloved, you will face fire and flood and demons and temptations, as did the Lord Gautama when he was in meditation under the Bo tree.

"Do not think that you will always have the reinforcement of many devoted hearts when you are confronted with ultimate tests and temptations. One day you will stand alone before God, and behind you will be the Devil. And you will wage war within and without as the Lord Christ did prior to his crucifixion.

"And either you will win or you will not. It will not be a 'partly' or a 'maybe.' You will be the winner or you will be the loser!

"Remember my word, beloved, because for some my prophecy may come to pass sooner than they think.

"I speak in this vein, beloved, because you are too comfortable in your path, too comfortable as you lean upon the Masters or the Messenger or friends, when you should be leaning upon the Rock of Christ and your Mighty I AM Presence. No, beloved, do not let yourself be too comfortable; for nothing in this life is permanent.

"And rest assured that you must strengthen yourself, your spirit and your soul, for none other can do it for you. So states the spiritual law of your being."

"Do not so easily cast aside my remarks, for I come, the Elohim Purity, I come, Astrea. We are one in the fusion of a cosmos. For God is one: Father-Mother is one and the dot in the center of the circle must be the Manchild.

" . . . What then are these legions (of Astrea) like? They are everyday working-folk angels, yes, indeed. They work hard on the highways of the matter cosmos. They work hard in the streets of the Earth—in your hometown, in your nation. And they work hard to bind the most vicious of dark forces who, because of mankind's state of consciousness, have been allowed into the planetary home.

' . . . First of all you have the choice whether or not to embody the Light of the living Christ. If you choose not to embody the Light of the living Christ but to use the Light you have for selfish gain, then you will have entered the left-handed path and your initiators will be not the ascended masters but the fallen angels. This path leads to the vainglory of the world and the ultimate undoing of the soul.

" . . . Well, you might as well face the reality: the Path is hard and it will get harder and harder, eliminating those who have no nerve for the fight, no love for the outcome, no concern for those who suffer and might be healed if they would only make some sacrifice to put on the mantle of their Christhood. Blessed ones, this is an indulgent civilization!.

" . . . I tell you, beloved ones, it does take maximum alertness on your part to escape all of the plots and ploys that come upon you—even through minor, puny devils—to take you from your one-pointed dedication to your life's course. It is about time you did pass every test and not just one now and then! It is about time that you shrugged from yourself, as Atlas shrugged—yes, shrugged off all sense of a self that is not God.

"No greater sin has ever been committed by you, by mankind or by anyone than the sin of the denial of one's God or one's Godhood where one stands—the denial of God as who you are and what you are made of. That denial comes each and every time there spews forth, not only from your mouth but from the mouths of all your chakras, that heavy spiral of negativity.

"And some of you do not even care who that spiral touches or who it comes to rest upon, such as one who can barely breathe and is on his last breath, lying on a bed of pain. You do not care that the negativity that goes forth from your mouth and your solar plexus may be the very negativity that allows that one to pass on, when your own positive force and driving momentum of the Spirit could also have made the difference in that one's reaching for the resurrection.

"You are not an island! You are not separated out from the rest! You cannot divide yourself from the Body of God unless you wish to quit it permanently!

" . . . And the only difference between the high and the mighty and the fallen angels and you is that they know their time is short! You seem to have forgotten that your time is also short. Yes, their time is short but they are using every moment of it in seeking to devour you!

"And because you are not alert to hear the ticking of your own clock they have your full cooperation as you allow precious moments you could be filling with sweet Light to be devoured by your attention here, your attention there.

" . . . I AM Astrea! Shall I continually clean up the mess daily? It is very convenient to have my call, is it not?

" . . . Thus the representatives of the Light are spat upon and spurned. And when the Light is in you, you are spat upon and you are spurned, aren't you? And every minute and every hour of the day is there not someone somewhere upon Earth who is spurning your own Messenger? And what does the Messenger say? She says, 'So what! So what!' Well, it is about time you said it too.

". . . Yes, beloved ones, take on the challenge! For whether you see them or not, the hordes of the sinister force hurl their challenge to you: they dare you to make war against them, dare you to call for them to be bound and taken to the Court of the Sacred Fire! Yes, they are daring you. And in a similar manner in a positive way all of the legions of angels and hosts of the Lord are in position and they are challenging you to come into your Christhood and defeat those hordes who multiply their conglomerate identity by the astral microbes and viruses on which they thrive.

"Yes, you have seen photographs of the drawings of those people, so-called—insectlike creatures that come in spacecraft and have no real resemblance to human life. You have seen how they have degenerated into sublevels of mechanization man, having no divine spark, no spiritual energy or consciousness, but use advanced technologies to steal the genetic codes of the creation of Elohim.

"Yes, beloved, this is what happens to an evolution when there is not a single son of God among them who is willing to be crucified upon the cross, having won his Christhood, having prepared for the victory of this initiation that he might wear the crown of everlasting life and save that which can be saved from an aberrant lifewave."

" . . . the rose is the symbol of the unfolding of the mysteries of God. Your own beloved Saint Germain has used the symbol of the rose and the Rose Cross, for through the rose—as the development of the heart chakra—the cross of sorrow and suffering of Good Friday becomes the resurrection and the life to every Son and Daughter of God. To this end were the mystery schools established, and the mystery schools one and all are founded upon the rock and revelation of Jesus Christ, preserved in code in the Christian Bible.

" . . . Excellence is not necessarily a virtue by which you are born, but it is a virtue by which you are made the fullness of the Light. And therefore the requirement of the hour is the need for the professional Son and Daughter of God who places first and foremost the excellence of the law, the discipline of mind and heart, the ability to be on guard and to be there at the point of contact, the point of precipitation. This excellence is often developed by outer training and outer purpose and education, for it also requires the agility and adeptship with the things that are concrete matter and the things that are in this world.

"But this does not mean that there ought to be the tipping of the scales of reality, the Libra scales of justice whereby the emphasis becomes the mastery of the matter plane for the abandonment of that dexterity of the soul and mind, so necessary to transfer the attainment of the outer into the inner attainment of the City Foursquare."

"Let us live heaven on earth. For thou art sons and daughters of dominion. Elohim have given unto thee dominion from the beginning unto the ending. Why dost thou tarry in incompleteness, worry, anxiety, sickness, and the absence of awareness of the joy of the beloved one always present?

"We need not wait, thee and I, for a future to realize God. I come in the allness of God. I stand where thou standest, I sit where thou sittest. And I AM the All. I AM the quickening and the alignment of the vessel. I AM the transfer of the body and blood of Alpha and Omega in the name of Sanat Kumara.

"The universal alchemy of Light is present. And by the power of the heart, by the power of the Shiva and Shakti in these living hands, thine own hands, release now, O release now, God and Goddess Meru, this Light for the acceleration of the hemispheres! Let every atom and molecule of earth body be accelerated.

"Let it throw off illusion and maya! And let the Light descending of the universal body of God, the mystical body, intensify now. O throw off into the sacred fire now the very cause and core of ignorance, absence of God-awareness! This planet must receive a cosmic spin ere her evolutions go down into unreality."

"Thus scandals come and go. But I come to deliver the threatening woes.

"Blessed hearts, those who mount the hillsides in the valleys need no picks or ropes or guide. But those who must, then, climb Everest and beyond must be surefooted as the Sherpas and the elementals who leap higher and higher. A warning, then, to you who would make the ascent and fulfill it in this life:

"Beloved, you have not protected yourselves from behind, nor have you exercised a co- measurement with the awesomeness of the climb and its dangers.

"Beloved ones, know, then, that at every hand the forces of entrenched materialism and sensuality, the lust for money and the greed to possess souls and light, the earth, the sea and the land—these forces, beloved, pursue your flight to God.

"Defend, then, the position of your attainment.

"Defend the position of those of the highest attainment within the movement and those of the least. For when there is a protection through Community, through Hierarchy of those who must lead to the top and those who must bring up the rear, then there also is a guardian action by and for and of those in the middle who form the vast multitudes who, when seeing the surefootedness of the leader and the footprint, will mount up and will fulfill their courses.

"Thus, beloved, understand even the dangers of being seated in the very front row of our congregation. But, beloved, the Light is infinite. And you who have positioned yourselves the farthest [from the Messenger] as though [in the wide orbit of] the planet Pluto—you also may know that you do not escape my eye nor the intensity of the Light that must be released in this day and in this noonday Light of the Sun behind the sun.

"Therefore I AM come. For I must speak to the gems—the gemstones amongst our disciples: the ruby or pearl, diamond or emerald, amethyst or aquamarine. Let them be known and seen—these star sapphires, these luminous ones.

"Blessed hearts, all hangs in a delicate balance. But that balance is nowhere more delicate than in the very person of the chela, in the heart and in the mind that would reach out to God and yet has not first gone forth to slay every oppressor of the Buddha where I AM THAT I AM in the heart of the devotee."

"A famous story illustrating the Guru-chela relationship and the personal encounter with Maitreya is the story of one called Asanga, the fourth-century Indian master. In an account from The Door of Liberation, a collection of Tibetan Buddhist teachings prepared by Geshe Wangyal, Maitreya appears to Asanga in various manifestations to goad him to remain steadfast in his spiritual quest:

"Nine hundred years after the parinirvana of Gautama Buddha, Arya Asanga was born. In his youth he completed intensive studies in a monastery and in middle life withdrew to a cave to meditate. He determined not to give up his meditation until Maitreya, the Bodhisattva of love and compassion and Buddha-to-come, manifested himself openly before him. When, after three years, he had had no results, he became discouraged and left his cave. Nearby, he met a man who was making a needle from an iron spike by rubbing it with a piece of cotton.

"Seeing this, his patience returned and he went back to his cave and meditated unceasingly for six more years. Still Maitreya did not manifest himself. Disheartened that he had meditated for nine years without even a sign of success, Asanga again left his cave. Outside he saw how a rock had been completely worn down by single drops of water and the beating wings of passing birds. Again his patience returned and he resumed his meditation; this time for another three years. But finally Asanga despaired completely of realizing his aim, and set out on the journey to return to his monastery.

"On the outskirts of Acinta he saw an old she-dog whose hind­quarters were raw and crawling with maggots. He felt great pity for her and wanted to relieve her suffering, but could not bear to destroy the maggots. Instead, he cut a piece of flesh from his own thigh and placed it near the dog. He then put out his tongue and prepared to transfer the larvae one by one, but the sight of the wound was so disgusting that he had to close his eyes. Suddenly there was a great ringing in his ears, and he opened his eyes. Standing before him, in a magnificent, radiant light, was Maitreya. Despite his joy, Arya Asanga exclaimed without thinking, 'Why did you never come to me during the twelve years I earnestly meditated?'

"Maitreya answered, 'I was with you all the time, but you could not see me, because you did not yet have great compassion. If you do not believe me, carry me through the town on your shoulders and try to show me to the people.'

"Then Arya Asanga raised Maitreya on his shoulder and carried him through the town, hoping to let everyone see the wonderful Buddha. But no one in the town saw Maitreya, and only one old woman saw even the dog.

"After this, Maitreya magically transported Arya Asanga to Tusita heaven, where he stayed for fifty earth-years studying the Dharma. When he returned to India, he brought with him The Five Teachings of Maitreya, which are the central teachings of the lineage of compassion, and which are used in the Tibetan tradition."
